Chewie works with his clients to use tech to grow their business, but believes there is a reluctance for café owners to engage with technology.

‘Most people introduce me as the tech guy, that’s not how I see myself. We’re hospitality people, we understand the hospitality business and how technology can build efficiencies, resilience, and cost savings into a business, regardless of how large, or how small they are. We don’t blind owners with technology, we want to show them how to streamline their business; using technology for sure, but in a way that can be integrated into the existing business systems and save them money.

Technology can be intimidating, and all too often carries a perception that it is expensive. It isn’t, and the cost savings that can be made, plus the staffing efficiencies it can create, far outweigh the investment the business needs to make.”
