Gustavo Hoyos and his family embarked on an adventure, acquiring a piece of land nestled on the serene slopes of Alto de la Paz or the “Mountain of Peace.” Today, their farm, Hacienda la Esperanza, stands as a testament to three generations of dedication and passion for producing the finest coffee.
We are delighted to have Miguel Hoyos join us at The Coffee Commune for this special cupping, guiding us through a selection of beautiful coffees, being cultivated not only on Hacienda la Esperanza, but also from surrounding estates and co-operatives. Miguel takes great pride in supporting these outstanding producers through his coffee export business, Flora Fruto.
