Why do half of small businesses fail within 5 years?

The Coffee Commune has commissioned a review into the types of business practices that separate successful small businesses from those that aren’t. One of the frightening statistics about small business is that nearly half of all new businesses fail inside five years. They simply don’t make it, and we’re trying to understand why so that we can work with our members to use the lessons learnt to accelerate their business. We will also be using the information to actively lobby government on the industry’s behalf.

To help us get the ball rolling we’re gathering some basic data about the hospitality industry. This information will help us gather a clearer picture of some of the barriers the industry is dealing with. Please take a few minutes to follow the survey link below.
