Help your Business!
Did you know that Council provides free information for businesses to understand their location and who their customers are?
Coffee Commune’s research findings showed the importance of creating more customers in these difficult times, rather than selling more to the customers you have. Sound easy but where do you start?
The Brisbane Community Profiles make it easier to find and analyse data to understand your market. Using the latest demographic, social and economic data, you can generate profiles about the people who live in an area, the workers and businesses that operate there and how an area has changed over time.
Access the Brisbane Community Profiles.
Lord Mayor’s Multicultural Business Scholarship Program

Ideas for Activations and Events
In February, we had Jano Kotzas, Founder of The Prop House Collective, talk about the importance of visual merchandising and activations to grow your customer base. In case you missed, we can go to The Precinct Playbook page on Council’s website to get some practical tips for hospitality precincts to make their area more active, attractive and connected. With four key themes – Promote, Support, Refresh and Activate – the information can be applied to all precincts regardless of their size. There is also useful information for individual businesses – for some ideas for in-store events to connect with new customers you can browse ideas for events and activations.
Business in Brisbane Facebook Group
Brisbane City Council has created a Facebook group to bring local business owners together to access important information and support. The Business in Brisbane Facebook group shares up-to-date resources and information from Council and other reputable organisations. We encourage businesses to share their own ideas, ask questions and support each other. You can send through a request to join the group here.
